Description
Genuine Kart Republic 50mm rear axle, 50 × 2mm wall × 1030mm long. Suits OK and KZ karts.
Choosing a grade. The axle is the biggest change you can make to rear grip. A softer axle adds grip, and a harder axle frees the kart off the corner. From softest to hardest:
- S1: very soft
- S: soft
- M: medium
- H1: medium-hard
- H: hard
- HH: very hard
To stop the wheel hubs sliding on the axle, fit the Kartech Anti Slip Axle Key 50mm.
If you're running the axle in a KZ kart, fit the KR Axle Reinforcement Bush 50mm KZ.
Stop axle damage with Kartech Axle Stiffener Bushes. Fit one inside each end of the axle, under the bearing grub screws. It stops the screws crushing the axle out of round, so axle changes stay quick and easy.
Running a cut-down axle? Fit a stiffener bush right at the end of the axle, under the wheel hub. With less axle for the hub to clamp on, the bush stops the end crushing and the wheel coming loose mid-session.
