Beginner Classes: What class will you be in?

WHAT’S YOUR CLASS?

Here is a list of all the classes you will be eligible to run as a “beginner” visit the licence page for information on how your licence is upgraded and further classes you will be able to compete in.

6-9 YEARS OLD

These are the classes available for this age group, the kids can "Practice only" until the date of their 7th Birthday. They can then compete in these classes up 
until the date of their 10th Birthday.

Cadet 4ss

• Torini Cadet Engine
• Open brand of chassis
• Ability to purchase different components
• Hard Compount Vega  Tyres
• Indicative cost Brand New $7500
• Used $3500 - $5500
• Minimum weight including the driver: 100kg

 

Cadet 9

• Restricted 60cc two stroke engine
• Open brand of chassis
• Ability to purchase different components
• Medium Compound Maxxis Tyres
• Indicative cost Brand New $7500
• Used $3500 - $5500
• Minimum weight including the driver: Vortex Mini Rok:99kg, Comer SW80:90kg

 

9 to 12 years old

Kids can compete in the following classes from the year of their 9th birthday through until the date of their 13th birthday.

 

Cadet 4ss

Cadet 12

• Restricted 60cc two stroke engine

• Medium Compound Maxxis Tyres

• Minimum weight including the driver: Vortex Mini Rok:108kg

 

12 to 15 years old

Drivers can compete in the following classes from the year of their 12th birthday through until the date of their 16th birthday.

4SS Junior

• 10HP Four Stroke Engine
• Open brand of chassis
• Low Maintenance
• No telemetry allowed
• Hard compound Vega tyres
• Indicative cost Brand New: $5500, Used $3500 - $5500
• Minimum weight including the driver:130kg

 

KA4 Junior

• Restricted 100cc two Stroke IAME engine
• Open Brand of Chassis
• Medium Maintenance
• Indicative Cost Brand New $7500
  Used $3500 - $5000
• Minimum Weight including the driver
  KA4 Junior - Championship: 132kg
  KA4 Junior - Light: 128kg
  KA4 Junior - Heavy: 148kg

 

15 years and over

Compete from the year of your 15th Birthday and up

Senior 4SS

• 12HP/15HP four-stroke engines
• Open brand of chassis
• Low Maintenance
• Telemetry allowed with the Torini Supermax engine
• Hard compound Vega tyres
• 4SS Super B Grade licence required
• Indicative cost Brand New: $6000, Used $3500 - $5500
• Minimum Weight including the driver: Senior - Briggs & Stratton 206,
